Leaders - refreshed in Christ: renewed in mission
Clive and met through the Ichthus network of churches when Clive was leading an affiliated congregation in Exeter and Cristina was the network administrator in London. They married in 1992 and now have two adult children and two lovely granddaughters, all of whom live abroad.
Having worked as a secondary school teacher, Clive trained in Church planting at Ichthus in London before helping establish a new Church on a council estate Exeter in 1990. Burnout brought a premature end to that phase of ministry ten years later, but Clive and Cristina continued to raise their family and serve in various ministry roles alongside paid work.
In 2015 Clive gained a postgraduate diploma in Mission leadership whilst also working as a self-employed painter & decorator, which led to some undergraduate teaching and the invitation for Clive & Cristina to co-lead the ministry at Ffald y Brenin Retreat Centre in Wales, where they served for nearly five years.
Having been heavily involved in the New Churches for over 25 years they are now part of St Basil‘s, a growing Anglican Church just outside Exeter.
Cristina loves gardening cooking and being Mamgu. Clive is a big fan of Crystal Palace and Exeter Chiefs and enjoys a practical project.
