Hurt in a car crash - healed in a car park! How it all started
Eagle's WIngs Ministries UK Ltd was born out of the Holy Spirit brining a fresh experience of this promise.
God chooses amazing ways to show His power and His love. A hard rear-end shunt left Mike with a problem of increasing chronic pain due to damaged nerve endings. He walked with a limp, needed a walking stick, used a wheel chair for longer distances and controlled the pain with morphine.
Three years after stepping down from leading a large, lively team parish, Mike was healed. The Lord surprised him, and everyone else, as He touched his back 24 hours after being prayed for by an anonymous church member in the car park of a baptist church on the edge of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. That was in February 2003.
Eagle’s Wings Ministries UK was formed after Mike’s healing as he and Angie prayed about the future. The concern grew for others in church leadership positions, not just 'ministers'.
Our passion is to see Leaders - refreshed in Christ: renewed in mission, seeing God’s call on their lives in whatever situation they are to be strong, effective Christlike servant leaders.
Mike and Angie have experienced first hand, not just through Mike’s healing but on many other occasions, the wonderful truth, that "those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles."
