The Christian leader must first be a learner. No leader knows everything about the Lord Jesus. No leader is perfect. So, we all have to go on learning what it means to follow the Lord Jesus each day until we see Him in heaven or until He comes again.

The character of a Christian leader is of first importance to the Lord Jesus. Who we are comes before what we do and the gifts and talents we may have.

Read what St. Paul wrote to the young pastor, Timothy:-

²Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, ³not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. ⁴He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. ⁵(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)
